Brand Icon Library
I led the development of the Brand Icon Library at SHL, transforming our approach to iconography. Previously constrained by a requirement to include a circle element in every visual asset, we evolved the brand to allow more flexibility. This enabled a refresh of our icon library to better meet our needs.
Key aspects of the project included:
Streamlining the icon style with a single stroke weight and introducing optional accent colors
Identifying essential icons and revamping existing ones while creating new icons for concepts like industries, team structures, and HR terms
Ensuring consistency across the full icon set by standardizing elements such as corners, circles, and dimensions to only two or three options
This project resulted in a cohesive and versatile icon library that aligns with SHL's updated brand identity, improving visual communication consistency across all platforms.
