SHL Brand Refresh Assets

Brand Icon Library

I led the development of the Brand Icon Library at SHL, transforming our approach to iconography. Previously constrained by a requirement to include a circle element in every visual asset, we evolved the brand to allow more flexibility. This enabled a refresh of our icon library to better meet our needs.

Key aspects of the project included:

  • Streamlining the icon style with a single stroke weight and introducing optional accent colors

  • Identifying essential icons and revamping existing ones while creating new icons for concepts like industries, team structures, and HR terms

  • Ensuring consistency across the full icon set by standardizing elements such as corners, circles, and dimensions to only two or three options

This project resulted in a cohesive and versatile icon library that aligns with SHL's updated brand identity, improving visual communication consistency across all platforms.
